After years of working on it, we finally opened our second location in Dana Point! BEAR COAST PRADO WEST (Between PCH & Del Prado on Amber Lantern)
It is like having a coffee baby. So now we have two Dana Point Coffee Babies.
ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED:
1. Where is it?
2. Where do I park?
Tons of street parking, spots in front of our door, and even a whole parking garage open to the public.
3. Are you open?
Yup, just got the approval from the Health Department... so we are soft opening this weekend as we wait for the last of our supplies to arrive. 6-2 Saturday (Oct 8)
And from Sunday October 9 and beyond we will be open 6-4pm.
4. Are you keeping both Dana Point Locations?
Yup! We can give the long explanation below, but we love the regulars at our first Dana Point location, and really believe the community around Prado West will have a new chance to make this new location their own too.
Stop on by!
Here are more details.
SO YEARS AGO : We planned alongside the developers of the Prado West complex to open our main Dana Point location at the center of the new area once it opened.
Our location next the salon was meant to test the relationship/market/and grow a following. Then once the new space was built in a year or so, all equipment would move over to the new location.
Wellll, there were delays, and then there was a pandemic, and much like Giligans Island... our location that was meant as temporary has become a community focal point and has developed a following all its own.
So as we finally started breaking ground at the new Prado West location, we had to ask ourselves if it is possible to serve two parts of the community so close together. And we definitely think it is.
The experience at Prado West will be amazing and different from our original DP location. And will offer another Bear Coast Coffee option for Dana Point, especially on a busy weekends.
So that is our plan. Two DP stores. Two staffs. Two times the freaking fun.
Our build out has experienced its own delays but is now officially done. And we can breath a sigh of relieve while drinking a coffee in a beautiful new cafe.
